    The museum presents historical and contemporary exhibitions related to Japanese Canadian heritage. It collects, preserves, interprets and exhibits artifacts and archives relating to the history of Japanese Canadians from the 1870s through the present, and their contribution as an integral part of Canada's heritage and multicultural society.     Opened in 1981, the Asian Centre provides a focal point for sharing information and ideas across the Pacific. Exhibitions will only be considered if the works are of an Asian technique or of an Asian theme. Sponsorship is considered only for first time exhibitors at the Asian Centre in order to enable the Centre to introduce as many new artists to the community as possible. Mon to Fri 9 am - 5 pm.

    Ferry Building Gallery
    This beautifully restored heritage building has over 1000 visitors each week and is the center of the Ambleside Landing area, with its neighbouring pier, beach and sidewalk attractions. The gallery showcases the artwork of both emerging and established artists, who are past or present North Shore residents. Admission to the gallery is free and the public is invited to attend all events.

    Silk Purse Gallery

    The Silk Purse was built over 50 years ago as a honeymoon cottage for newlyweds and has housed a collection of Canadian memorabilia over the years.
