    Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary
    This beautiful area is a wintering site for 263 species of birds. The sanctuary consists of walking trails to make observations of the many types of birds easier. The birds start arriving in August and the peak time for watching is November. Nesting takes place in spring.

    Queen's Park Petting Farm
    The farm provides summer accommodation for rabbits, chickens, goats, pigs, calves and ducks. A friendly farmer is on hand to introduce visitors to the animals. The petting farm is open from the Victoria Day weekend to the Labour Day weekend.

    Rainforest Reptile Refuge
    The Rainforest Reptile Refuge Society cares for abused and unwanted reptiles, amphibians and other exotic pets. The facility houses nearly 50 different species, and about 350 animals, including bearded dragons, caiman, chameleons, frogs, iguanas, skinks, snakes, tarantulas, toads, tortoises and turtles.

    Greater Vancouver Zoo
    This zoo has over 800 animals from all over the world, including lions, tigers, elephants, jaguars and leopards. There are daily tiger and lion feedings, as well as Birds of Prey presentations.

    Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre
    The Vancouver Aquarium is much more than just a place to see fish. This all-encompassing marine centre focuses on acquatic life from around the globe. The Pacific-Canada pavillion explores BC's coastal regions. ORCA-FM broadcasts live killer whale sounds direct from the ocean. There are daily whale shows and otter feedings. The Vancouver Aquarium is very aware of the sensitivity of the marine environment and promotes responsibility in the handling of aquatic wildlife.
